(More customer reviews)Before I bought this for moving charcoal the three feet from the container to the grill, I tried using tongs.The little bits always slipped out, particularly when using lump charcoal instead of briquettes. Took forever, too.Then I tried using a plastic mixing bowl.I couldn't get the charcoal to scoop well because the lip was too thick and the bowl wasn't the right shape. Plus, the plastic is now scratched and seems to be permanently black at the top from the charcoal.Clearly not the best idea I've had lately.

This scoop solved all that.It is large, and seems like it would stop a bullet.It has a nice polish that looks nice, while not collecting charcoal dust.All aluminum means it won't rust when left outside (as mine is).

Surprisingly good quality -- it looks like it cost a hundred dollars at a specialty store.Would make a good gift, especially if you notice that the griller in your life has been scratching up the mixing bowls.

This afternoon I attached it to the hose for the first time this season, turned on the water, and the wand split open a 1" vertical gash along the shaft- rendering it completely useless.I'm really disappointed because this watering wand was a great tool when it worked.

I have e-mailed Dramm directly, as this product is advertised as having a lifetime waranty--I'll update further when/if the company replies to my complaint.

(More customer reviews)The Claber 15 Pre-Set Cycle Water Timer seems very well made and is extremely easy to use.However, I'm not sure I would've purchased the unit had I known what the actual pre-set times were.(I like to water 30 minutes in the morning and 30 in the night.)I did extensive online research to find them (including visiting the Claber web site), and nowhere is the watering times listed.So - here for your enlightment are the 15 pre-set watering times:

1.2 minutes, every 6 hours
2.5 min, 6 h
3.2 min, 12 h
4.5 min, 12 h
5.10 min, 24 h
6.5 min, 24 h
7.15 min, 24 h
8.30 min, 24 h
9.60 min, 24 h
10. 90 min, 24 h
11. 30 min, 48 h
12. 60 min, 48 h
13. 60 min, 72 h
14. 90 min, 72 h
15. 120 min, every week

Several final notes - I have high water pressure and I tried to use a Gilmour 9400 water timer - it didn't work but so far the Claber has.Also, there is no manual override to water immediately- in other words, I can't press a button to have it water right then without losing my programmed watering times.(Gilmour could do this.)However, to set the timer all I have to do is rotate the switch - it simply couldn't be easier.

Dramm ColorStorm Premium Garden Scissors Review

I ordered it and received it six days later and it seems to be in perfect shape. It is made so well, I didn't have to insert washers. This is for the back of my house and the one in front that is a Gilmour 50 foot hose has lasted several years. The cheaper hoses get kinks and holes and have to be disposed of in a few months so I think this was a wise purchase.

Dramm 22730 Touch N Flow Pro Full Flow Shut-Off Valve Review

The wand has a high quality brass shut-off valve unlike some of their other units that use a plastic valve (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001A4LHBQ/ref=s9_simh_gw_p86_i5?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0VJY9MSTVKDP4MTCN4PD&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846).

The only drawback to the brass valve is that it can be a bit stiff and not the quickest way to turn the water on and off (especially for those with limited hand strength) so I purchased this device. It works good for the intended purpose but I wouldn't use it with high pressure nozzles like my Bon-Aire (http://www.amazon.com/Bon-Aire-HN-10C-Original-Ultimate-Stainless/dp/B000E7YYDS/ref=pd_sim_auto_7) because, contrary to the title, it DOES restrict water flow even when fully engaged (I'm going to try to find out if I have a defective unit). I can also see it being useful when using one of Dramm's excellent Fogg It nozzles (http://www.amazon.com/Fogg-It-Nozzles-Superfine-Volume/dp/B000OWMWX2/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1283800140&sr=8-1-fkmr0) or anything that is going to restrict water pressure to a greater degree than the Touch N Flow.

(More customer reviews)My sister bought this one for me and I should have made her get her money back.If I knew she spent this much I would have insisted!I hate plastic hose carts of any type. Plastic may not rust but it does not hold up well in heavy use.The hose that hooks to the faucet is cheap and kinks up.The wheels are pneumatic, they dont hold air sometimes and worse, the axles are way too close together which makes it unstable to roll on uneven ground.The big tray is nice, I would want that on any hose reel, but on the bottom with the reel on top.The tray is helpfull for holding sprinklers and nozzles and gardening gear.This one could be used for potting plants since it is easy to clean, the tray has lots of holes to drain water. Since the hose is under the tray you have to bend down further to crank it and it is harder to handle the hose because the reel is so enclosed by the unit.

(More customer reviews)I have a small farm and use lots of hoses.Of all I've tried, Gilmour hoses have been the best by far.They have superior, solid fittings; resist kinking the best (of hoses not specifically designed to avoid kinking); and have remained the most pliable with weathering.Best of all is Gilmour's lifetime warranty: should the hose ever fail to perform, just cut off the ends and send them to Gilmour and they'll send you a new hose.I've done this a couple times with no hassle.Other hoses want you to have saved the receipt, original packaging, etc.Who does that?

This really is "the last hose you'll ever buy."

Flexon FXG5850 5/8-Inch x 50-Foot Heavy Duty 5-Ply Forever Garden Hose Review

(More customer reviews)You can't go wrong by purchasing a USA-made product these days, hoping to help make our economy stronger.I can tell by comparing this Flexon hose to the last hose I purchased - which also had a Lifetime Warranty but was made by a different hose manufacturer - that this Flexon is made so much better.I have been using it a month and it has not kinked yet.The brass fittings are of superior quality and I like that the coupling is made larger for a better grip when tightening it onto the spigot (see the picture I uploaded).

If you do have an issue with the warranty, it requires you cut off both ends of the hose and mail those 2 pieces back to the manufacturer, along with the defective section of the hose.You will also need your receipt and the piece of cardboard from the hose stating it comes with a lifetime warranty.

This is not labeled as approved for drinking water but it also does not say it contains lead.The warning says:Do not drink from this hose.Garden hoses can come in contact with harmful chemicals sometimes, used with nozzles, garden sprayers or chemicals used on lawns.The inside of the hose is dark, damp, and warm, causing bacteria to form.It is recommended that you run water through the hose until the water is cool before use.

Since I don't drink out of my garden hose, this is a non-issue with me.

(More customer reviews)After reading the reviews, I reluctantly ordered this power hose reel.Initially I experienced the same impossible task of trying to unwind the hose.

The problem was solved after charging the battery.I ran the reel empty of hose continuously for 30-40 minutes.This stretched and loosened the drive belt.

I then recharged the battery, and the hose reel now works perfectly.

I suggest not reeling the hose until you operate the reel for an extended time.

Under the conditions I have given above, this power hose reel is highly recommended.
